FRIDAY POST-CONFERENCE SESSION
What are the main benefits of the workshop?
Resources included with your registration: ABOUT THE PRESENTER: RECOMMENDATIONS: The Lord gives clear instructions for believers to "walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." (Eph. 5:15-16) The FOCUS workshop with Pastor Shaun Walker will be a great help in fulfilling this command. We have had this workshop for both our administrative staff and the church at large. Through the clear teaching of Pastor Walker and the clarity of the materials our people were helped by this training as much as anything else we have done. I believe that this workshop is a must for every church worker. It is life transforming! One of the most profitable things any pastor or parishioner could ever do would be to attend a Focus Time Seminar with Shaun Walker. We have had Shaun make his presentation at Bethel - and we are inviting him back again because every believer who desires to be a good steward of time will benefit from this material. The frenetic pace of life today demands that Christians learn how to redeem the time that God has given us. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to any church that wishes to equip her people with one of the most basic tools for real spiritual success. Recently, we hosted a FranklinCovey Focus workshop. I required our staff to attend as well as my eighteen-year old son. As a result of the workshop our facilities/plant manager has taken the management of the properties up a notch. He is much more productive and the principles he learned are now being rolled over into other areas of his work. His more efficient use of his time alone paid for the workshop. Our music pastor stated that the FranklinCovey workshop has been the most helpful seminar he has attended. This is a workshop you cannot afford to miss. I wish I had it twenty-five years ago! The FOCUS workshop taught by Pastor Shaun Walker was a tremendous help in bridging the gap between our Great-Commission values and our everyday decisions. Perhaps the most influential concept was the simplest: always ask, "Is this important? If it is not important, don't do it!" The seminar didn't stop with theory, however. Brother Walker walked us step by step through the process of translating our desires to honor the Lord into actual, effective service on a day-by-day basis. Although the seminar is built around the Franklin/Covey planning and time management system, it also presents practical principles useful in evaluating and using a variety of planners, both paper-based and electronic. I can highly recommend the seminar as a valuable tool for Christian leaders who want to be more effective in their lives and ministries. COST: The cost for the full-day training is $65 which includes a helpful Participant Packet, Tip Sheets, and a Resource CD.
